I just got back from the WoodenBoat School in Brooklin, Maine after teach a five and a half day class on building "Fine Strip-Planked Boats". It was a great group of students who came from as far away as Israel and as close as Castine, ME, with others from Texas and Arkansas in between. We built my Mystic River Tandem canoe design and the microBootlegger. Above is a time lapse video of the canoe build.
A free, informal gathering for kayak builders and paddlers to share knowledge, try out different boats, and enjoy a day of paddling. The event is open to all and takes place rain or shine.
