I am very excited to announce that I will be teaching a week-long on-the-water sea kayaking class in Maine this summer. If you have one of my designs, or you are interested in learning how to handle a sea kayak on the ocean, this is your chance to gain some great experience, while enjoying one of the prettiest places to paddle in the world.
Gerry and I headed up to Maine last weekend to scout out the locations for the Schoodic Sea Kayak Retreat.
It was Gerry's first time in the area. He and his wife are now looking into buying a place up there. There are loads of great paddling venues suitable to all skill levels of kayakers.

Over Labor Day weekend I attended the second annual New England Intermediate Rough Water Symposium hosted by Tom Bergh of Maine Island Kayak Company.
I put together a somewhat longer video of a trip in Frenchman Bay, Maine. It starts along Long Porcupine Island near The Hop, and ends along Mt Desert Island near Otter Cliffs.
