Many of the Greenlandic rolling techniques are easiest if you can get your body low down to the water in a layback position. The lower center of gravity requires less effort to right the boat. The deck of this design has been lowered behind the cockpit to ease layback rolls and the cockpit is shorter to allow bracing anywhere under the foredeck. The hull is still the same as the standard Night Heron so the performance will be similar.

Included in the Plans:

  • Six 24" x 36" [61cm x 91cm] Drawing Pages including: An overall drawing, a full size "stacked" form drawing showing all the forms and then all the forms drawn individually and at full size. Also included are templates for the cockpit and coaming recess parts.
  • Kayak Building Notes: These notes provide supplemental information such as bill of materials for each design.
