I put together a couple small photo books showing an overview of the building process for my Nymph canoe and Petrel kayak. I orginally made these to bring to shows to help explain to people how I make my boats. I got a fair number of requests from people who wanted a copy of the books, so I've put the books up on Lulu. Creating Nymph is 24 pages and Building Petrel is 22 pages. The prices are $15.00 each for the books or you can download a PDF for free. If you want a simple way to show your friends and colleages what is going on in your basement, either of these would make a good show-and-tell.
Every year, kayak enthusiasts from all over come together at Bluff Point State Park in Groton, Connecticut, for a free and open event. It’s a great place to learn about different kayak designs and techniques, and it’s perfect for beginners and even those who are just starting to paddle.
