Hello! This is my idea of what a AGB should look like. This is why I choose to add another 12 ribs. Theese were made of Juniper, age 50-75 yars old. I also took the less convinient way of bending the strips all the way up (some did break). I bought solid planks of Western red Cedar from an import-company some 200 km:s away. Did all of the sawing and milling at home. The wood I used to create seats, oars, stems and gunwales is nearby grown swedish Cherry. The extra planks to put the feet on and to hold the footbrace are made of mahogany. I've done all craftmanship at home including forming the hardware (stainless steel) using the tools you recommended in the builders guide as well as some useful ones that I invented along the way. I wish to thank Nick Schade for giving me tremendous inspiration through his own work of art. I intend to use this boat mainly for three purposes, namely to fish i spring and summer, recreation together with my family exploring the archipelago of lake Vänern and during the fall in a small lake called Ymsen where the boat is going to serve as a hunting-device as we try to get some ducks etc. Yours Kenneth Modin

I choose to use a matt finish on the inside of the hull. A great varnish added with some PU to make it durable and protective aganst the UV rays.

In a month or two it'll be time to launch. Right now it cant be done due to ice covering the lakes around the place where I'm dwelling.
